Prior to attaining his doctorate of chiropractic, Dr. Segarra earned both a B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in Biology and a B.S. degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Human Biology. While at Binghamton, he served as an athletic trainer giving him the knowledge and ability to diagnose and treat many sports related injuries more effectively.

Dr. Segarra is a unique chiropractor to this area. His experience working at First Choice Family Healthcare in Raleigh, Chicago’s Edgewater Hospital and the Chicago AIDS Alternative Health Project provides for a training few chiropractors have. In each setting he worked in collaboration with other healthcare professionals including medical doctors, physical therapists, exercise physiologists, psychologists, acupuncturists and massage therapists.

A team approach was utilized in addressing and treating each individual patient’s needs. He has found working in unison with other healthcare providers yields maximum results and better patient outcomes. This networking and team approach is a concept he brings to Harrisburg and the surrounding areas.
